Forgiven Not Forgotten

When someone does something wrong, we expect the offending party to be held accountable for their actions, and to repay their “debt” in order to make things right. But does that perspective still hold when we consider the debt of our sins, that God has cancelled for us? Drawing from the book of Matthew, we see how (and how many times) we as Christians are expected to forgive, and if forgiving really is forgetting.
