This week pastor Nathan and Kirk Goodman continue our series in Thessalonians by discussing verses 12 to 18.  In these verses Paul encourages the church to honour those who are over you, help those around you, and to embrace an attitude that may not seem justified in the light of what is happening around you.

There are no sermon-based questions this week, but here are a couple thoughts to discuss if you are meeting online due to the COVID-19 closures:

16 Rejoice always, 17 pray continually, 18 give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.

  2. What does it mean to rejoice always?  How can we embrace this value in a time like this?
  3. How can we pray for one another during this time?  How can we make prayer a regular part of our daily experience?
  4. What are the things we can be thankful for even in the midst of closures, layoffs, and social distancing?
  5. Pray together
